Long Layering Necklace with Hand Knotted Labradorite and Silver Freshwater Pearls
This necklace is intentionally minimalistic and monochromatic. Each bead has been individually hand-knotted along the entire length of this silk cord necklace. The beads are faceted glowing blue to greenish-gold labradorite and silver freshwater pearls to add a nice shine.
The labradorite beads are round and micro-faceted, measuring about 3mm in diameter. The silver freshwater pearls are an irregular shape that adds texture to the piece. They measure approximately the same.
More freshwater pearls than labradorite are about 23 inches compared to 10 inches, so the necklace has a subtle edgy asymmetry.
The total length is about 34 inches. It can be worn long or wrapped.
Handmade, one knot at a time, in my Colorado studio.
