Plum Color Sapphire Necklace Silver and Gold, n2

This beauty in a classic style features a natural, lovely plum sapphire that is a spectacular color for any autumn outfit. The stone has a beautiful sheen that glows from within and sharp rose-cut facets that play with the light. The piece is elegant yet substantial. It looks gorgeous as a layering piece or worn alone; either way, it will elevate your outfit and make any occasion special.

I've set this completely natural sapphire in 22k gold on a sterling backplate, created a hinged bail with a 22k pin, and hung it on a 14k gold beaded chain.

The chain is 16 inches long, and the pendant measures 4cm high, including the bail, and 1.6cm wide—the stone measures about 22 by 18mm. The pendant has a satin finish - except for the bail pin, which has a bright shiny finish to complement the chain.
