Periwinkle Tanzanite and Iolite and Gold Artisan Necklace, n5

I made this necklace with a beautiful periwinkle rose-cut tanzanite pendant which I set in sterling silver and accented with 14k gold dots. The gemstone beads are natural iolite, similar to tanzanite, but a little darker and more of a dusty purple color. These beads are hand-cut with lovely facets that catch and reflect the light for a pretty sparkle you can see from across the room. Accompanying the iolite is a pyramid cut with 14k gold beads and loads of sparkle.

I have meticulously hand-knotted each bead individually along the entire length of pure silk jeweler’s cord using an ancient method. The result is a unique and stunning piece that is colorful, sparkly, and playful.

The necklace is 16 inches long with solid 14k gold findings and a lobster claw clasp. The pendant measures approximately 16 x 18 mm.
