Rainbow Moonstone Beaded Necklace, n35

The length of the necklace is beautiful moonstones; each one is carefully hand-knotted on pure silk cord, which holds them in place as well as protects them from scratches that could occur if they were pressed against one another. The pendant is a gorgeous faceted rainbow moonstone briolette approximately 2 x 1 cm that is just stunning!

I've made this necklace 17 inches in length and used solid sterling silver findings and clasps. To protect the silk cord, I have anchored it through the findings with a knot. I never crimp my silk as this could compromise the integrity of the silk fibers, which in turn could fray the cord.

This necklace is so subtle and understated, but it sparkles and glows brightly for a classy look. It would be great for a wedding, a special event, or an everyday necklace.
