Sterling Silver Disc Bracelet, w3
This gradient disc bracelet began with a 20 gauge flat sheet, a bit of round wire, and a small chain, all sterling silver.
I cut each disc in varying sizes and shaped them using a hammer and dapping set. Then I slightly textured the rim of each disc. Next, I made jump rings from the wire, cut and shaped each one, and soldered two to each disc. Then using the remaining jump rings, I attached the discs and finished with a satin polish.
The finished product is a beautiful glowing bracelet that plays with light in a way that catches the eye and captivates. Its movement is fluid, and it is quite comfortable to wear.
The discs range in size from 7mm to16.5mm. The deepest disc (the largest one) sits 6.5mm high. Adjustable in length from about 6 & 1/2 to 7 & 1/2 inches.
Handmade, in my Colorado studio.
